Holton at 4 months

***UMM, I totally wrote this blog post yesterday, and today it was GONE.  So strange.  Thankfully blogger e-mails you your blog posts, so I just copied and pasted it.  That has never happened to me before.

Sweet Holty poo, Holty bo Bolty, Holton Bolton, baby bro, lil bubba, lil man is 4 MONTHS OLD!  Seriously I cannot believe it!  He is THE MOST PRECIOUS baby...(trust me, you would agree).  He is so happy, so snuggly, so laid back.  I could go on and on.  He is the greatest baby, and we are eatin' him UP---have I said that before???  He sleeps so good, eats great, gets dragged all over the place & is happy while doing it, loves riding in the car, & smiles at anyone who speaks to him.  He really only fusses if he is hungry, tired, has a dirty diaper, or wants to be held---our favorite cry.  We all 'fight' over who gets to hold him next.  He is one loved little guy.  Matt and I love our nights with him after we put Hudson and Harper down for the night.  We just love on him so much and he entertains us.  It really is Matt's quality time with Holton because he is quite distracted by 2 other little ones when he gets home from work.  :)  These kiddos love their daddy.
Oh how I love those sweet baby feet!
This past month Holton lost almost all of his hair.  It was crazy how it just fell out.  I'm telling people it's his way of showing sympathy for me because I am losing all of my glorious pregnancy thick hair by the handfuls.  Holton did not want me to feel bad about losing my hair, so he decided to join me.  :)  He isn't completely bald, but rather it looks like he has a summer buzz cut.  I love rubbing my chin on his soft head.  His new hair is coming in much lighter.  I wonder if it'll be lighter like Harpers??

Holton also started sucking his thumb all of the time now.  It's pretty cute, and it's definitely nice that he can soothe himself to sleep.  He still sleeps in our room at night.  I know, I know.  I keep putting it off, but the time is coming.  After our Disney trip I think we'll make the move up stairs---at least that is what Matt keeps saying.  We bought a video baby monitor, so that will help me not feel like I have to go upstairs 800 times a night to check on him.  So maybe by his 5 month report I'll have news on this matter???

I cannot say enough how great of a big brother and sister Hudson and Harper are.  They are so sweet with Holton.  They adore him so much.  I think they are really enjoying Holton now because he interacts with them.  They love to make him smile and laugh.  They love to hear Holton 'talk' to them.  They are so quick to check on him, bring me things, and love on him.  I am so thankful and so proud of them.

This morning during the torrential down pour I took all 3 kids to the doctor's office for Holton's 4 month well-check apt.  (yes, it was CRAZY).  His appointment went well.  Holton is perfectly healthy and doing great!  He weighed 17 lbs 6 oz (90%), and was 25.5 inches long (75%).  He was so brave during his shots.  I think it freaked Hudson and Harper out more to watch it.  The doctor said we could start cereal if we wanted to (she said with a big grin), or wait until 6 months to begin food.  I think we'll wait.  It's funny---1st baby we bought the cereal on the way home and couldn't wait to feed Hud.  3rd baby mentality-- let's put this food off as long as possible...I have enough mouths to feed.  HA!  So different.  When leaving I booked Hudson's 6 year apt, Harper's 4 year apt, and Holton's 6 month apt ALL for the same day in July.  I think Matt may have to take the day off--HA!  Call me crazy, but I'd rather knock it all out at one time.

We have a busy week ahead.  Tomorrow Hudson graduates from Pre-school.  (gulp)... Next week are just fun-filled days for the kids last week at school.  We have wheel day (Hud rides his bike all day at school), pirate and princess day, and the school wide picnic.  Next Friday is their last day, and then we'll get ready for our Disney World vacation.  We cannot wait.  It is the constant topic of conversation here in our house.  It'll be wonderful.  We are all so ready for summer.  I am ready to play and have nowhere to be at a specific time.  I just want to soak up every minute because I know we'll blink and I'll be walking my boy thru the Kindergarten doors.  Maybe time will slow down just a little bit for me???  We'll see!  Happy almost summer!!!  Wahoo!
