Holton at 10 months

WOW!  10 MONTHS OLD!  Say it isn't so!  2 whole months from turning 1---that is too much for this mama to handle.  Can you believe how fast this year has flown by???  How can it be November?

I know I say it time and again, but the only way I can adequately put into words describing what this sweet baby boy brings to our life is JOY.  He is pure delight.  He is so happy and getting a sweet smile from him is effortless...and his belly laughs, oh his belly laughs---they make you want to cry because they are the sweetest sound you have ever heard.  We absolutely love and adore our Holty bolty, and he can brighten any day.

This past month Holton started climbing.  I nearly had a cardiac arrest the other day.  He was right by my side when I ran to my room real quick to put up some laundry away and low and behold when I return he is NOWHERE to be found....he was sitting at the VERY top of our stairs.  I about died.  He was just sitting up there grinning so proud of himself.  I could not get over how stinking fast he got up there.  That boy is going to kill me.  The baby gate is OUT.  He is trying to climb up on the furniture now too.  He blows my mind how quickly he picks up on things.  He is cruising the furniture so fast just moving from one thing to another.

Holton got his first haircut this past month.  It was definitely time.  He was one shaggy boy.  He looks so cute now with his big boy cut.  He sat so still and did great.  So many people asked me if I was so sad to take my baby to get his sweet hair cut...and my answer was not really.  He has a full 6 months on his bro.  Huddy's first haircut was at 3 months, so 9 months seemed ok.  :)

--Holton has learned to give the sloppiest, wettest, biggest kisses you have ever seen...and we LOVE them.  My favorite is he will give them involuntary too.  It is SO so precious.

--He has learned to dance this month.  Pretty funny...and we all find ourselves nodding our heads and bending at the waist with him.

--Holton makes this face where he scrunches his nose and breathes really hard back and forth LOUDLY.  We all make the face just to get him to do it.  The kids do it, Matt and I do  it, we all make that goofy face because it's so cute when Holton does it.

--Holton has 6 teeth.  His I-teeth made their grand debut this month.

--Holt sleeps from 8-8:30 to 6-6:30.  Then after a morning bottle he sleeps a good 2 extra hours.

--I finished breast feeding completely at 9 and 1/2 months.  He is fully on a bottle now.

--Holton is experimenting more and more with solids.  We really haven't found much that he doesn't love.  I still give him baby food more than 'table food' just because I like knowing what all he is getting nutritionally as opposed to what Ace is eating.  :)

--He drools like a leaky faucet.  If you hold him just know you will be wet.

--He only cries if he needs something.  (hungry, tired, or needs a new diaper).

--Holton still is so even kill, laid back, chilled out baby.  He goes with the flow and is a happy go lucky guy.  He almost always falls asleep the moment we put him in his car seat.  I'm so thankful he's such an easy going guy.

--Holton LOVES his brother and sister.  He lights up when he sees them.  It really is such a sweet bond.  The love Hudson and Harper have for Holton is one of the sweetest things you have ever seen.  They adore him and are so patient with him.  I am so surprised at how they aren't bothered when he gets into their things or slobbers on their stuff, but they aren't.  I am so proud of them.  They are my great helpers.

I am so deeply thankful for these past 10 months.  What joy they have been for all of us as a family.  Watching Holton grow literally right before our eyes day to day is something I do not take for granted.  It goes so quickly, and I know I'll blink and we'll be celebrating Holton's first birthday.  I cannot thank God enough for my 3 precious miracles.  Being their mommy is the greatest joy of my heart.

And just for fun months 3, 5, 7, 10.
