We spent about 3 weekends getting the house ready to go on the market. It's such a shame that it takes trying to sell your house to get your booty in gear and tackle that to-do list. It really was not a big deal do all of the things we had been wanting to do for a long time. My house is currently in tip top shape...every cabinet, drawer, & closet is organized, and it's the best feeling.
The week before we listed our house my grandmother, sister, and nephew came to visit us. It was so wonderful having them here. My little nephew Camden has grown so much since we last saw him in January. It pains my heart we don't get to see him more. Camden loved his cousins and of course my kids loved him too. He was so adorable with them. He especially loved Hudson. They were so rough with each other wresting. Camden would tackle Hudson so hard....they were pretty cute. Holton and Camden are sooooo stinkin precious. It makes me so excited to see Hayes thrown in the mix of all these boys. My grandmother cooked wonderful meals while she was here. My sister took the kids swimming a few times. We shopped La Cantera. It was a great week!!
My grandmother is 76 years old and she played outside and road Hudson's bike while she was here. It was hilarious. She is so funny. She has such a spunk and energy about here. I text a picture of her riding Hud's bike to Matt and he loved it. He wants a picture of her framed in his office. Says it's a good reminder that you are only as old as you act. So true. I hope to look as good and act as fun as she is when I am her age---Lord willing.
| We wore these kids flat OUT. |
I had my 20 week sonogram/apt a few weeks ago. I was so happy and thankful to see our sweet Hayes and find out he's healthy and growing perfectly. You never get tired of hearing that you have a healthy child--no matter their age, and we cannot thank God enough for this miracle baby. It's wild to think we are over 1/2 way there. I have to pull the calendar out on my phone to figure out how far along I am all the time. So far this pregnancy is flying by. I feel great. I am starting to get the normal aches and pains of pregnancy. Back, pelvis, & groin----It blows my mind that my body can hurt so bad on this 4th time around. Don't you think it would just remember how to do this and not ache??? My blood pressure has been great so far too. It was at 20 weeks with Holton that everything went south & I got on bed rest. I count each passing healthy week a blessing. I'm just praying that my pregnancy with Holton was a fluke and this one will be my best yet.
Matt and the kids really spoiled me over Mother's day weekend. I had Harper's "muffins for mom" on Friday which was SO much fun. I absolutely love anything with Harper. She is always so excited to have us there and just lights up the room. She is so fun to watch. Both Hudson and Harper made me such treasures at school. I love anything with a hand print and their sweet handwriting on it. On Saturday we packed up and went to the Hilton Hill Country out by Sea World. Matt had some Hilton points he needed to get rid of, and it ended up being such a nice weekend away. They had great pools for the kids to swim and play. Toy Story 3 was played out by the pool and they had s'mores which the kids loved. It was a really fun time.
| My life forever changed each time one of my babies were placed in my arms. I can't wait for Sept when our life will forever change yet again. Being a mother to these 4 is truly the joy of my heart. |
I started collecting Sid Dickens memory blocks back in January. I'll have to do a post on this later....but I love them. Matt and the kids got me 2 new ones, my mom sent me the H for all 4 of my babies, and Karen and Curtis sent me one for Mother's Day too. I've accumulated 10 since January....I want about 25, so it'll take me several years to get there---but I'm well on my way!
We are in the midst of wrapping up the end of the school year with Hudson and Harper. I cannot believe my baby boy will be a 1st grader. What a wonderful year it has been. I have to say Hudson is so ready to be done with school. Mornings are getting harder to get him up, he's getting chatty at school, and the constant discussion of 'how many more days' is the topic of conversation around here. I don't think he'll have any tears of sadness. He is ready for summer....and the end is in sight for him. I keep telling him to finish strong! 10 more days!
The day after school is out we are headed up the road 15 minutes to The JW Marriott. We went there at the end of last summer and had the time of our lives with the kids, so needless to say we are pumped to spend 3 days again. It'll be wonderful. I am looking forward to summer time with these 3 cuties below. I hope this mama can keep up and entertain. The span of interest between an almost 7 year old to a 16 month old is quite vast. We gotta get creative around here. :)

I love reading your blog, girl. It never ceases to make me laugh, smile, and feel SO encouraged. The way you love your family is such a blessing, I strive to be as sweet a mama and wife as you are. Hayes will be here before you know it! I have a feeling he'll be absolutely adorable, and such a fun baby! Enjoy your end of school year vacation! I love that y'all do that! I'm putting it on my list of hopeful family traditions! :)
